Ignasia just opened a brand new shop in the packed Pantai Indah Kapuk. It offers the sweet of cakes, hence the name Cake Me Away – pun for “take me away” – and healthy, fresh smoothie bowls. With this “natural healthy sweets”, Ignasia tries to fill in the space where not really much people are in.
Having this kind of smoothie bowls, which many people consider as a premium due to costly ingredients, as one of the main menu has its own challenge, but Ignasia is not deterred, even gives a relatively affordable price for the smoothie bowls.
Get healthy with smoothie bowl
Smoothie bowls served at Ignasia are made fresh. They will blend all the ingredients into smoothie right after you order one. Choices here are quite broad and if you want to just drink the smoothie, you can order the smoothie menu. You can add some additional toppings too, like nuts, seed, crunch and fruits.
I tried the Ignasia’s Signature (IDR 55k). This smoothie bowl is a mixture of blended red dragon fruit, banana, strawberry, blueberry, avocado, soy milk, yoghurt. The smoothie bowl was served chilled and topped with banana slices, roasted almonds, chia seeds and some other seeds, like flaxseed.
The smoothie was bright in red purple color dominantly from the red dragon fruit and texture was quite perfect, not too dense and not too watery either. The taste was all natural too, the sweetness was spot on.
Next, I also tried Blend-nana (IDR 45k). This one is a “simpler” smoothie bowl. The smoothie consists of banana, yoghurt, cacao powder, and skim milk. This Blend-nana smoothie was quite sweet with a little hint of bitter from the cacao powder. The combination of banana and chocolate was too good to be missed.
Because the smoothies are served on a quite big bowl, the portion is quite generous so it’s should be more than enough for one person.
Sliced cake and cheesecakes
Like what I’ve said above, Ignasia also serves sliced cakes, mini tartlets and frozen cheesecakes. The cakes were served fresh as well, but some might not be able to order due to availability as seen on the display. One of the cake is Classic Mocha Cake (IDR 40k). The cake was okay though I expected a bit more from it with its price tag.
Natural and garden-y ambience
The space here in Ignasia is typical with the other stores in Pantai Indah Kapuk, which is not too spacious. Ignasia, which is located on the second floor of the shop, brings a garden theme with some floral ornaments on the wall. Along with the ornaments, there are some quotes as well for you to take pictures with.
Some wooden touch to the floor and tables also give the perfect calm ambience while visiting here.
Overall, Ignasia provides a good place to enjoy some natural goodness in form of smoothie bowls. The price is generally affordable and the natural ambiance that it offers will surely become a needed “getaway” from the hectic daily routines.
